Information Regarding Elimination & Final Rounds of the 17th Tokyo International Music Competition for Conducting
1st elimination round: October 12-13 (Monday, Tuesday), 2015
2nd elimination round: October 14-15 (Wednesday, Thursday), 2015
Final round: October 18 (Sunday), 2015

The “17th Tokyo International Music Competition for Conducting in 2015” will hold its 1st & 2nd elimination and final competition rounds from October 12 (Monday) through October 18 (Sunday), 2015. All rounds are open for public viewing (ticket purchase required).
This 17th Competition marks the first since the Competition was accepted for membership in the World Federation of International Music Competitions. This Competition received 239 applications from 40 countries and regions, far surpassing the number of applications for the previous Competition. Of these, 17 entrants were selected from 8 countries/regions following rigorous document and video screening. Selected applicants will face the first elimination round on October 12 (Monday) and 13 (Tuesday).

A total of 17 applicants (14 men and 3 women) were selected from 8 countries/regions.

Total applications received:
239 applications, including 197 men and 42 women from 40 countries/regions
* Previous competition (2012): 180 applicant (157 men, 23 women) from 29 countries/regions
