■ORGANIZING BODY

The Tokyo International Music Competition for Conducting, which has been held every three years since 1967, will be renamed the "Tokyo International Conducting Competition" on its 20th anniversary in 2024.

Since it was originally begun as the "Min-On Competition" in 1967, this competition invites the wide participation of capable musicians with the aim of unearthing and nurturing outstanding talent. In addition to providing strong support to such musicians and their musical activities around the world, the Competition also endeavors to promote international cultural exchange.

■ORGANIZATION STRUCTURE

The organization structure comprises of an Organizing Committee, an Executive Committee, a Panel of Judges, and the Competition Office. The Panel of Judges is proposed by the Executive Committee and formed with the approval of Min-On. The Competition Office has been set up within the Min-On Culture Center in Tokyo.
